My client in the Plastics industry is looking to recruit an Automation Engineer to join their expanding team. This role is located in Co. Longford.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Purchasing & design of automation

• Support automation projects.

• Create technical plans

• Automation work quotations

• Quality new automation vendors

• Responsible for cost saving opportunities

• Improve and maintain existing machines

• Manage schedules

• Responsible for procurement and supplier purchase orders

• Assist in production start ups

• Assist in other areas with automation projects as required.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Engineering

• Knowledge of part design, CAD, injection moulding

• Manufacturing operations

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills

• Control systems knowledge

• Computer/IT Skills/MS Office applications

• Overall mechanical & electrical understanding
