Job description

We are recruiting for an Apprentice Toolmaker for our client based in Co. Longford. This is a very exciting opportunity where training will be given to mould you into an integral member of the company.

The company has a proven track record in producing high-quality medical products and is committed to world-class product design expertise, manufacturing excellence, and a strong focus on their global footprint. This is a very exciting time to be joining the company as they are experiencing growth and are expanding their production facility to meet the demand for their products.

This is a Permanent full-time role.

Your new job

  • You will be catered into a four-year training programme where you will develop the skills and attributes needed to become a competent toolmaker.

  • Assist in the process of troubleshooting mould problems and ensure production moulds are in quality operational condition.

  • Maintaining that the tooling area is tidy and in an organised manner.

  • Work closely with other members of staff always maintaining a good team environment to sustain the expected production targets.

  • Meticulous and efficient in overcoming issues in the toolmaking process.

  • Undergo education requirements of the four-year training program within allocated hours.

  • Received a pass result in the Leaving Certificate.

  • An individual that is motivated showing eagerness and flexibility to meet production demands of the company.

  • Someone that is mechanically minded.

  • A general hard-working individual which has a desire to learn and develop into a competent toolmaker.

  • An effective communicator and listener.

  • Possess the physical capabilities to meet the requirements of the job.
