What you need to know
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator for our client based in Tullow, Co. Carlow.
This is permanent, full-time role with hybrid working available.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for inputting all expense invoices and payment on same.

  • Responsible for all creditors.

  • On receipt of invoices match against the PO and delivery docket.

  • Arrange for any discrepancy regarding the invoice to be approved by the Department Manager.

  • Post the invoices against the supplier account.

  • Electronically file invoices in an orderly way by supplier / number.

  • Post and allocate related credit notes to the relevant supplier’s account.

  • Run EFT payment listing for approval by the Management Accountant and create payment files for uploading onto banking online.

  • Key cross border payments onto the bank.

  • Ensure all remittance advices are sent to suppliers.

  • Monthly reconcile creditor’s statement against the purchase ledger.

  • Retain details of reconciliations on the month end accounts file.

  • Close out AP at month-end and run reports.

  • Deal with supplier queries in a timely manner.

  • Process employee expenses and once approved issue payment and remittance advice.

  • Open new supplier accounts and maintain the suppliers’ details on the system.

  • To assist in our ad-hoc projects as required.

  • To carry out other functions as directed by management.

What are we looking for?

  • Third Level Qualification desirable.

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable in a busy environment essential.

  • IT Literate.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

  • Good administration skills with an ability to work unsupervised on day-to-day tasks.

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.

  • High level of accuracy.

  • Attention to detail.

  • A high degree of enthusiasm and adaptability.

  • Reliability and flexibility.
