What you need to know

A fast-growing business is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis based in Waterford.

This is an excellent role for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Part Qualified Accountant who will gain a thorough understanding of the business with the opportunity to grow.


Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of Company P&L

  • Reconciling bank, debtors, and creditors

  • Preparation of management accounts including Profit and loss review and analysis.

  • Preparation and filing of VAT returns

  • Accounts Payable duties including matching invoices to accruals, supplier reconciliations, monthly payment run, dealing with supplier queries etc

  • Accounts Receivable duties including preparing customer invoices, processing and monitoring incoming payments, dealing with customer queries etc

  • Preparation of annual audit file

  • Posting of Journals

  • Assisting operations with some day-to-day activities

  • Ad-hoc duties on request

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant accounts experience

  • Experience with Sage 50

  • Proficient MS skills

  • Be able to work under their own initiative and;

  • Have good interpersonal skills
