What you need to know
We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant for our Client based in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.
This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is mainly work from home, with one day per month expected on-site.
The role of the accounts assistant is to provide support to the Senior Financial Accountant and also work within the wider financial team to assist with various tasks including payroll support and weekly/monthly reporting.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
Full responsibility for Sales Invoicing.
Assist with weekly and monthly finance department reporting tasks – including but not limited to WIP and Revenue, Payroll, Overheads and direct costs.
Provide support to Accounts Payable.
Provide support to Payroll.
Assist with VAT return preparation and submission.
Assist with Bank reconciliations.
Assist with yearend audit and tax compliance.
Provide back up support and leave cover across accounts payable and payroll.
What are we looking for?
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar SME environment.
IPASS Qualification.
Part-qualified accountant.
Strong MS Office skills.
A keen eye for detail.
An analytical mind and good math skills.
Ability to multi-task, focus and meet deadlines.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Understanding and experience of payroll.
Comfortable dealing with and efficient in processing paperwork.
Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team.
