What you need to know
You will work as an Accountant for our client, a busy and reputable hotel in Co. Offaly. This job would ideally suit some recently/nearly qualified.
As the Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgeting. You will oversee the finance function reporting into the General Manager. This is a great opportunity to be involved all aspects of the finance function
This is a permanent role and the hours of work are 9am – 5pm.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts.
Reviewing stock takes results and analysis on discrepancies.
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable process.
Reviewing monthly payroll.
Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts.
Preparing yearly budgets
Preparation of p&l and balance sheet.
Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit process.
Ad hoc finance related projects.
Maintaining IT Systems.
What are we looking for?
Recently qualified or pursuing ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant
At least 4 + years working in a busy finance role within industry preferably retail or hotel sector. This will suit someone with an accounting practice background too.
Excellent PC Skills and excellent excel skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals.
Highly motivated self-starter and able to work on own initiative.
Proven ability to operate as part of a team and manage people.
Ability to work under pressure.
