What you need to know

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operator for our Client, based in the Wexford Area.

This is a Permanent Role.

 

Your new job

The overall objective of this position will be to perform a wide variety of tasks in the warehouse area of the plant.  These tasks will be in receiving, supporting production, shipping, cycle counting, inventory management and systems.  These tasks will by their nature be repetitive and will require a high level of computer literacy and physical effort. This position will be required to work on a two-cycle shift pattern.

 

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Receiving – unloading, inspecting, receiving, sampling and locating all ingredients, packaging and finished product that arrives at the plant

  • Production support – ensuring continuous supply of ingredients and packaging to production and filling lines. Support shipping and receiving

  • Shipping – Inspecting, counting and loading outbound shipments, completing all paperwork, preparing shipment samples, bracing loads

  • Inventory management - Organising cycle counts, complete reconciliations, monitor inventory transactions, continually sort out inventory issues as they arise

  • Inspect facility – to assure adherence to safety and operating policies and good manufacturing practices using Company policies and procedures

  • Safeguarding and protecting of all Company information and equipment

  • Support the Company Programmes and culture within the Company

  • Implement, evaluate and maintain effective application of Quality System in order to ensure product quality as defined by Company requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent

  • Fork truck experience is essential

  • 3+ years’ experience in Food/Beverage/Pharma environment

  • Good mechanical aptitude

  • Aptitude for operating machinery and equipment

  • Aptitude for computers and demonstrated computer literacy

  • SAP or similar WMS experience is an essential

  • Demonstrated experience in team-based environment.

  • Organised, methodical, tidy and the ability to work in a controlled and structured way

  • Quality focused and excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent problem solving and solid judgement skills

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively

  • Willing to commit to a security background check airfreight shipment process.
