Our client based in Co. Westmeath is hiring a Supply Planner.

This company is a Global operation manufacturing medical device products. The company is on an exciting new venture, it's a great job opportunity to be part of the company’s next period of growth.

They are hiring a Supply Planner to join the Supply Chain Team. This will suit an experienced Buyer/Planner with at least 5 years' experience. The Supply Planner will have responsibility for planning of finished goods for the EMEA region.

This is a permanent job with hybrid work on offer.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities: 

  • Plan finished goods for EMEA to achieve target service level within inventory and cost objectives. 

  • Manage exceptions throughout the global distribution network, determining how best to resolve supply.

  • Responsible for product available at the right time and right distribution center 

  • Responsible for inventory

  • Optimize and maintain planning parameters. 

  • Proactively communicate supply status and potential risks while issuing resolution to ensure supply continuity.  

  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders across all divisions to highlight and resolve gaps, and operational performance issues. 

  • Driving improvement activities for supply chain. 

  • Support new product introductions.

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain or related discipline. APICS/IIPIM desirable.

  • At least 5 years manufacturing experience in buying, planning and inventory within manufacturing.

  • Strong MRP/ERP system’s experience and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications especially excel.

  • You must have strong communication and negotiating skills along with excellent organisation/time management skills.   

  • Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment while demonstrating initiative to lead in other projects.
