What you need to know

Our client who area provider of sterilisation services to many of the world’s largest medical device manufacturers is currently seeking a Senior Quality Technician.

As Senior Quality Technician you will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for the assisting in the administration of the quality management system. Additional to this, you will be involved in the adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and other regulatory standards.

This is a full time permanent position where working hours are on a Monday to Friday basis. Operating from 8:30-4:30 Monday to Thursday with a half 1 finish on a Friday.

Included in the package is VHI healthcare and a pension contribution with 25 days Annual Leave.

Your New Job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct pre-review on incoming product to confirm compliance to the Customer’s processing specifications, verifies calculations, correct dose range, approved product codes, dosimeter placements and special instructions

  • Coordinate and conduct releases of processing runs after product has been processed, ensuring all processing parameters and customer specifications have been met and the run file (device history record) is accurate and complete

  • Involved in the reviewing and releasing of laboratory reports. Ensuring that tests comply with customer requirements and customer requests

  • Carry out customer specification updates and direct customer communications when delegating for the Quality Analyst/Quality Manager

  • Participate in Quality investigations, associated problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Investigations into non-conformances to establish sustainable corrective actions. Also participate in investigations into customer complaints and internal/external audit observations.

  • Complete any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

 

What we need from you

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering/Science background

  • Two/three years’ experience working as a Senior Quality Technician in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical background

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and regulated environment additionally being able to meet tight deadlines

  • Possess the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong capabilities in analysing and solving technical problems
