What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Senior Private Equity Consultant for our financial services client, based in Limerick or Dublin (hybrid working option available).
As the Private Equity Consultant, you will join a team that provides Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting and Relationship Management services to our clients. The team is regarded as the industry leader of Fund Administration services to the Private Equity market. This role will provide an opportunity for you to develop both knowledge and experience of a dynamic and varied client environment and represents an exciting opportunity to work with a number of niche asset managers.
The role is a 6-month contract position with possibility of extension and / or permanency. Daily rate applied for the current contract.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Transfer agency duties including ensuring that all investor queries are responded to on a timely basis, all investor static data accurate and all appropriate AML is in place for each investor
Oversee the call/distribution process, including review of payments, notices and sign-off of completed files
Review and preparation of interim and annual financial statements for Private Equity Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures
Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries
Oversees the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank and CSO returns
Manages the PE team through the collection of relevant information to facilitate production of NAVs
Ensures NAVs are issued accurately and within defined timeframes
Ensures the accurate and timely payment of operating expenses
Liaises with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV
Provides unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve the department’s performance to clients
Communicates effectively with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities
Ensures that operating arrangements are clearly established on inception of a fund
Ensures that documentation, legal and compliance issues are complete
What are we looking for?
Holds a recognised Professional Accounting Qualification
Detailed knowledge of Irish/UK GAPP and IFRS
Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory /tax regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting
Knowledge of or willingness to quickly gain knowledge of Private Equity Fund Administration
Demonstrate leadership and team-building qualities and ability to motivate a team
Demonstrates commitment to producing high quality work and to timeframes required
Strong knowledge of Excel and Investran in particular
