Matrix Recruitment is working with a US Medical Device company in the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant. This job is based in Westmeath reporting into the Irish Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity to work with a company who makes a positive impact on lives across the globe.
You will work as a Senior Financial Accountant in a fast-paced manufacturing company, working alongside the Finance team and you will be responsible for ensuring month-end data is processed on a timely basis and recorded accurately.

Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Work closely with Global Service Centre to ensure accuracy of monthly financials.
Analyse and present monthly overhead expenditure variances, comparing historical trend and budget/forecast and highlighting any variances and required actions.
Review of completed Balance sheet reconciliations highlighting any required actions.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly financials in line with Month End Close guidelines.
Submission of monthly variance schedules to corporate Finance.
Ensure all financials are in compliance with US & Irish GAAP.
Revenue and government compliance – liaise with Revenue and other Government organisations in relation to required deliverables.
Define and implement internal controls in order to maintain compliance with financial requirements and SOX Controls.
Liaise with external and internal auditors, and tax advisors, to ensure compliance of audits and statutory requirements.
Supplier payments and on-site treasury contact.
Key contact in relation to transfer pricing reviews.
R&D and other grant claims.
What are we looking for?
Qualified Accountant with 5 years PQ experience in financial accounting in a fast-paced multinational manufacturing background.
Must have experience with month-end close and working with a number of legal entities.
Experience in transfer pricing a distinct advantage.
Ability to take ownership, be proactive and achieve desired results is key. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in MS office applications and SAP.
