Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer for our well-established client, based in the Kildare area.

This is a permanent position offering hybrid working-2 days in the office.

 Responsible for providing electrical expertise in the areas of project specification, design, design review, procurement, construction management and performance testing of Electrical infrastructure and services.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of project electrical engineering works and services.

• Lead engineering and optioneering processes of potential grid connection solutions for Renewable Energy projects.

• Review and / or prepare technical project, tender and contract documentation to monitor, control and reduce cost.

• Identify, understand, and apply all H& legislation and regulatory requirements during construction, testing, commissioning and operation.

• Proactively participate in the Performance Management process.

What are we looking for?

• Hons Degree in Electrical Engineering, Post-Graduate qualification an advantage.

• 7 years’ experience managing the Irish grid connection process.

• Significant technical experience of HV electrical design and consenting, infrastructure, HV cable experience, verifying / approving third party design, contract Management, financial /cost management and project management required.

• Technical report writing and communications skills essential.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and PSSE or other similar electrical design software.
