My client a Large Food Group have an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller. This role will be based at their headquarters in Co. Offaly.

As the Credit Controller you will report into Credit Control Manager, working with a credit control team maintaining the debtor’s ledger accurately, to ensure that all income due is received, accurately accounted, and resolve account queries. You will drive efficiencies and create new processes to streamline the credit control function, and other project work for the group. This a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for  an accurate position on client debts

  • Proactively manage debts collection

  • Liaison with clients to ensure timely collection of debts

  • Resolution of queries to help facilitate payments from customers

  • Agree on payment plans with clients and ensure that they are adhered to

  • Prioritise and manage a challenging workload while maintaining an elevated level of customer service and satisfaction

  • Issuing statements to clients using established guidelines, deadlines, procedures, and process-driven methodology

  • Preparing weekly reports on debtors' position

  • Preparing files for passing to legal for debt collection

  • Assist in other ad hoc accounts duties as requested by your line manager

What are we looking for?

  • Cert or diploma in business/finance and credit control qualification is an advantage.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience and a proven history in debt collection ideally working for an FMCG would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems especially excels and word. SAP experience would be an advantage.

  • A customer focussed can-do attitude

  • Deadline focussed with the ability to prioritise tasks
