A leading medical device company with global operations who are experiencing strong growth is seeking an experienced and committed NPI Engineer to join its team in Co Leitrim.

As a NPI Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior NPI Engineer on-site and work to monitor and ensure that new products are being introduced through projects from the product design phase right up to manufacturing and streamlining to the clients’ customers.

This is a Permanent role Operating on a Day shift Monday to Friday Basis. There is strong flexibility on hours for the right candidate. There is also an excellent package on offer including in this is Pension and Healthcare.

 

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Involved in Leading new projects. In turn ensuring that new projects are being completed within agreed timelines and that they are in respect of quality regulations. Additionally, there is an awareness and responsibility that new projects are within costing targets and set budgets

  • Implement and Co-ordinate New Product Introductions, specifically being involved in product design, product specifications, process validations, identification of training needs, process & equipment lay-out, production procedures, material specifications and material & packaging procurement in accordance with the Company’s regulations

  • Maintaining ISO standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO in all stages of the new product introduction

  • Carry out effective and concise communications to the companies’ customers throughout all stages of projects

  • Development of Manufacturing Process in conjunction with New Product Introduction Team including, as required, training of technicians, process operators and other staff

  • Strict adherence to plant safety requirements and health and safety guidelines when carrying out work in projects

 

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in an Engineering discipline is a minimum, preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical or Polymer engineering

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a NPI Engineer in a Medical Device setting is seen as a strong advantage

  • Exposure to dealing with customers specifications and having a thorough communication with them during various projects is key

  • Exposure to manufacturing processes in a medical device setting

  • Enthusiastic and results orientated with good teamwork skills
