We are looking to recruit a Medical Secretary/Administrator for our client in the Healthcare Sector in Portlaoise, Co. Laois

***PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO TRAVEL WITHIN THE AREA TO ANOTHER LOCATION. OWN TRANSPORT IS A MUST. TRAVEL EXPENSES WILL BE PAID***

This is a contract job.

 

Your new job 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing/setting up patient clinics

  • Processing referrals

  • Scheduling appointments/cancellations

  • Preparing patient charts & filing

  • Taking minutes of meetings

  • Liaising with medical professionals i.e. GP’s/Consultants

  • Monitoring department emails

  • Post & stationary

  • General administration/clerical duties relating to the department

     

What are we looking for?

  • Previous office/admin work experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous clerical/administration experience within the public sector – advantageous

  • IT Skills – Word; Excel and Outlook

  • Exceptional typing skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Multitasking and strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative and hit the ground running
