What you need to know

Our client, Ireland’s fastest growing providers of sales, marketing and distribution services based in Co. Wexford are currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their organisation.

This is a part-time position offering 25-30 hours per week, working week split over 4 days with the requirement of at least 2 full days.

The Management Accountant will be the primary liaison within the local team, collaborating closely with the internal finance department and the Group finance team based in the UK. The Management Accountant is to guarantee the timely and accurate completion of all financial transactions, processes, and reporting, adhering to both industry and internal standards as well as best practices.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Compiling monthly managerial financial reports.

  • Ensuring balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.

  • Forecasting and reporting cash flow, including foreign exchange considerations.

  • Handling VAT, VIES, and statutory filings.

  • Serving as the point of contact for year-end audits.

  • Supervising teams responsible for accounts receivable and processing.

  • Working closely with Group Finance to implement corporate standards locally.

  • Assisting the Managing Director in developing annual overhead budgets and forecasts.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified member of a recognised accountancy body is essential.

  • Having 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in a comparable position is necessary.

  • Previous involvement in FMCG wholesale, distribution, retail, or manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.

  • Proficiency in finance software is a requirement, with expertise in SAP Business One being particularly advantageous.

  • Additionally, experience in team management.

  • Skilled in multitasking and meeting diverse business needs.

  • Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel and analysis, with strong communication skills.

  • Adaptable to tight deadlines and comfortable in SME or corporate settings.

  • Experienced in implementing internal controls and process enhancements, driven and capable of independent work.
