Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Fitter for our client, based in the Carlow area.

This is a permanent day’s role, performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment & facilities. Reporting directly into the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Complete breakdown repairs, PM activities on high precision CNC machines & automation cells.

• Ensures equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements.

• Identify and maintain a stock of critical spares, to minimise machine downtime.

• Conduct machine inspections/PM activities and reporting any faults.

• Providing emergency breakdown repairs.

• New installations of equipment.

• Continuous improvement and modifications to existing systems.

• Equipment monitoring.

• Liaise with OEM to trouble shoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

What are we looking for?

• Mechanical Fitter/Trade qualification.

• Multiskilled- Mechanical/Electrical.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a maintenance fitter within manufacturing.

• CNC maintenance experience.

• Knowledge of PLC ‘s operations, pneumatics & hydraulics.

• Good IT skills- MS Word & Excel.

• Self-motivated, results driven, problem solve effectively and efficiently.

• Prioritise, plan and organise workload.

Desirable

• Counterbalance forklift licence
