Maintenance Fitter
What you need to know:
An industry leader in environmental and infrastructure services is seeking a Maintenance Fitter based in Dublin 4. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to join a well-established organisation delivering vital services across Ireland, with a strong focus on sustainability, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships.
The role operates Monday to Thursday from 07:30 am to 4:00 pm, and Fridays from 07:30 am to 3:00 pm. You will also participate in an on-call rota, one week in every five, to support continuous site operations.
Your New Job:
The Maintenance Fitter will play a key role in leading maintenance activities and supervising contractors to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime, while also supporting continuous improvement projects and maintaining accurate records in the MAXIMO system.
Maintenance Fitter Responsibilities:
Carry out and supervise planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and equipment repairs to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Work as part of the Mechanical Team and oversee contractors during maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of equipment improvement projects, supporting engineering and production teams with process enhancements.
Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded, completed, and regularly reviewed within the MAXIMO system.
Uphold high standards of housekeeping and ensure all tasks are carried out in line with site safety policies and procedures.
What are we looking for?
Hold a Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent, with relevant experience in a previous maintenance fitter role.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong initiative and minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and a high level of self-motivation.
Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail.
