What you need to know

We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources and Operations Manager for our client a medical practice with a number of different locations in Waterford.

This role is a permanent role with an excellent salary and benefits package.

You will report to the Managing Director.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide operational leadership to manage performance across all departments

  • Be a champion for employee engagement, communication and foster excellent working relationships in order to have an effective and engaged team

  • Support employees in their continued professional development

  • Resource planning, recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees

  • Lead the Performance Management system in the organisation

  • Provide advice and support on HR issues to managers and employees

  • Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with current Irish employment legalisation

  • Ensure that the HRIS is kept up to date and design a comprehensive benefits package

  • Responsible for facilities management in the organisation and manage contractor SLA’s

What are we looking for:


  • Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

  • At least 5 years’ experience in HR/ Operations Management

  • Experience of Workforce Planning, recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, training and development and employee relations

  • An excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation

  • Good conflict resolution skills

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • CIPD Membership

  • HRIS knowledge and experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in HR Management in a healthcare or hospitality environment
