Our Westmeath based client are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with a leading Plastics manufacturing company with Irish origins that now has a global footprint.

As Health and Safety Manager your key focus will be keeping the site in line with the relevant Health and Safety regulations and act as a lead figure in driving improvements.

Your new job

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Management of the Health and Safety management system. Focus on safety systems and the carrying out of risk assessments. Ensuring that risk assessments are being carried out by the relevant staff on-site

• Management of audits and inspections

• Involvement in Health and Safety programs and trainings

• Management of accidents and post-accident follow up. Ultimately carrying out thorough investigations and corrective action plans

• Ensure new processes/equipment are in line with Health and Safety regulations

• Proactive in reducing accidents have good organisation in place having strong emergency response teams in place.

What are we looking for?

• Health and Safety orientated qualification

• Strong knowledge of Irish Health and Safety regulations

• Exposure of Health and Safety Management in a manufacturing setting

• Experience in working laterally with differing departments. i.e. Production, Facilities etc.

• Proactive attitude to Risk Assessments, Auditing, and general focus on improving Health and Safety
