Our client who are based in Co. Offaly and have a long-established entity in the Midlands region are seeking a GIS Specialist & Landowner Liaison Officer to join their team.

This is a 1-year contract role, working week Monday – Friday, from 9:00am – 5:30pm.

The GIS Specialist & Landowner Liaison Officer will report into the GIS Team Leader.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality maps for peatland restoration projects, including assessments and surface water management, using ArcGIS software for Land and Habitats Business Unit.

• Assist with bog rehabilitation and restoration, focusing on design and construction management.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet survey and GIS objectives, ensuring timely and accurate information for project success.

• Support the Survey & GIS Team Lead in delivering a cost-effective and professional survey program for various projects and operations.

• Analyse datasets like topographical surveys and LiDAR to support cost-effective planning and design for Engineering, Legal, and Operations teams.

• Comply with Health and Safety provisions and contribute to the welfare of coworkers and the public.

• Participate in the Performance Management process to meet personal and team goals.

What are we looking for?

• Level 8 BSc in Geomatics, GIS, or similar qualification with 5 years of relevant experience.

• Expertise in GIS and surveying software.

• Skilled in handling digital survey data (LiDAR, UAV) and creating AutoCAD drawings.

• Ability to interpret Land Registry issues and research legal titles using resources like Land Registry/PRAI and Irish Land Commission.

• Experience in editing digital boundaries for land registry maps to PRAI standards.

• Full clean driving license required.
