What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist for our client, in the financial services industry, based in Dublin, Cork or Wexford.

In this position, you will work within the Alternatives side of the Financial Reporting team who manage Private Equity, Fund of Funds, Real Estate and Hedge Funds. You will be responsible for reviewing financial statements and working with the team to meet deadlines and client deliverables.   

This is a 4-month contract position with some possibility for extension and/or permanency. The role offers a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Act as a representative for a defined portfolio of funds and clients (mostly high-value).
  • You will be responsible for the distribution and assignment of these funds to appropriate team members based on availability and experience level.
  • Develop and maintain current client relationships and assists in the development of new client relationships.
  • Ensure all timetabled deliverables are met.
  • Act as the second point of review for financial statements within the team.
  • Support junior members of the team as required.
  • Primary operational contact for clients, investment managers and all other internal/external parties for assigned funds and clients.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and controls as required.

What are we looking for?
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • PQ or Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience and knowledge of funds preferred.
  • Experience working in a financial services environment and reviewing financial statements.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve various deadlines.
  • Proven teamwork skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to review financial statements.
