Our client, a very successful manufacturing company based in Co. Offaly is hiring a Financial Controller. Due to internal promotion my client is hiring an experienced Qualified Accountant.
The Financial Controller will lead and manage the finance function and ensure proper compliance. This job will have responsibility for managing the finance team, working alongside management team and reporting into the CEO. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who has a desire to advance their career and be part of a great team.

Your New Job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing and presenting the monthly management account pack
Completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
Support commercial and operational decision making through: Standard costing, KPI reporting, Yield and efficiency reporting and Strategic Financial Planning
Ensure accurate capture of COGS in the manufacturing process to support Gross Margin analysis
Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the finance department and the business, identifying and implementing best practice initiatives
Part of the senior management team developing and implementing strategies for the growth of the business
Deliver the agreed annual budget and quarterly forecasts and provide analysis of variances from budget/forecast
Preparation and submission of all regulatory returns
Provide financial governance and control for all aspects of the business
What are we looking for?
Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA with 5 years + post-qualification experience
At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing sector is ideal and must have experience producing monthly management accounts
Excellent IT Skills, strong excel
Strong commercial and people management experience
Track record of process improvement & cost saving initiatives
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Proven track record of achievement
