What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Depositary Relationship Manager for our client, in the financial services industry, based in Dublin.

As the Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day onboarding for assigned new business activities requiring depositary services. This role will mainly focus on the coordination and onboarding of new business pipeline activities for both new and existing clients.


This is a 12-month contract position with some potential to be extended or made permanent.
The role offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Act as the depositary point of contact to both internal and external parties.
  • Manage the day to day oversight and reporting of funds and client queries where required.
  • Support new fund launches, fund liquidations and complex/new product requirements.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve any issues which may result in key operational, financial, regulatory & fiduciary breaches. 
  • Review and close out with minimal supervision the Depositary new business onboarding requirements whilst maintaining Depositary governance standards.
  • Assist in the work for valuation policies, due diligence questionnaires, service level definitions and fund documentation.
  • Arrange the setup of new clients and funds on the depositary oversight systems.
  • During the onboarding process, manage client expectations effectively.
  • Participate in client workshops and meetings and provide depositary and regulatory knowledge and input.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues in accordance with corporate risk and governance frameworks.
  • Provide cover for members of your team where required
  • Maintain a good understanding of the Depositary oversight and safekeeping duties, fund operating model, and regulations.

What are we looking for?
  • Third level qualification and/or advanced in professional studies.
  • In-depth functional and fund knowledge including exposure to complex asset and fund structures.
  • Experience in financial services with experience in a depositary, trustee, compliance or audit role is a distinct advantage.
  • Related industry qualification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically challenging while meeting industry best practice.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client servicing skills.
  • Strong problem solving, technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong focus and attention to detail.
  • In-depth functional and fund knowledge including exposure to complex asset and fund structures.
  • Solid understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to depositary/trustee and local requirements – in particular, requirements for Irish funds, AIFMD and UCITS regulations.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office / MS365 – in particular, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.
