Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a- CAD/BIM LEAD -for our client, based in the LEINSTER area.

This is a permanent role.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Preparation of detailed designs in 3D BIM technology (Plant 3D, Revit)

• Implementing changes & updates to the design; optimisation of design solutions.

• Detailed design of process & high purity piping & HVAC installations for various types of projects.

• Strong understanding of P&IDs and assurance of model compliance  

• Object library & catalogue management & development.

• Clash management on all systems & co-ordination of mechanical installation with other trade.

• Auditing: 3D coordination & model federation, production of isometrics & drawings for fabrication, Bills of Materials, QA assured As Built 3D Models

• Analysis of 3D CAD models & other data sources for quantification & 4D construction sequencing.

• Facilitate the fabrication & construction process with required CAD & BIM workflows.

• Liaise with sub-contractors, client consultants, designers & GC to ensure correct installation.

• Document management.

What are we looking for?

• 3rd Level Engineering or BIM qualification or Mechanical/Electrical Trade background with strong CAD/ BIM skills.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience producing 2D & 3D deliverables using Autodesk Plant 3D or similar BIM360 or BIM Collaborate

• Experience of industry standards in CAD, BIM & Engineering Software: Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD

Beneficial Experience:

• Navisworks

• BIM 360 or similar

• Procore, Asite, Viewpoint or similar

• Recap or other Scan2BIM software
