What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our Client, a FMCG manufacturing company based in Borris, Co. Carlow.
As part of the company’s growth strategy, a new position has arisen for a Business Development Manager who will assume overall responsibility for the direction, growth and development of the company’s brand and the product range within it. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will drive the continued growth and development of the company’s brand, including entry into international markets.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Formulating and implementing a strategic business development & marketing plan in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives in domestic and international markets.
  • Conducting detailed market analysis and providing the Senior Management Team with accurate, timely and relevant information and recommendations to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Developing, refining and adapting customer value propositions for different market segments based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to develop and monitor pricing strategies to maximise profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  •  Collaborating with the Sales team to provide initial content and support for engaging with leads and referrals.
  • Organising and managing the customer database, by keeping all customer and leads information up to date and providing reporting on relevant KPIs.
  • Coordinating with internal departments (marketing, production, quality & finance) to ensure any entry into export markets is managed efficiently.
  • Delivering first-class customer service throughout the entire process.
  • Tracking customer satisfaction via surveys, identifying and addressing sources of dissatisfaction by optimising solutions and incorporating feedback.

What are we looking for?
  • Third Level Qualification in Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager or similar.
  • Proven track record of working with FMCG products and developing B2B business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of both Irish and international retail / consumer product / home accessories markets, industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies.
  • Experience dealing with multichannel inbound queries, as phone, social media, webchat and emails.
  • Experience in setting up and managing commercial activity, involving databases, processes, and KPIs.
  • High-level Microsoft Office user.
