Our client a long established and respected manufacturer based in County Cavan are seeking an Apprentice Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter to join there expanding team.

This role involves a 4-year training programme where you will be given the opportunity to earn and learn. You will report to and assist Senior Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter on site. Involved in the program is training in the classroom where you will get an in depth understanding of the day to day and procedures required needed to become a Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include:

• Receive training in plant and machinery installation

• Gain an understanding in the day-to-day operations of the site

• Become exposed in preventative maintenance and repairs

• Carrying out practical skills learned in the classroom to use on site under the supervision of senior Mechanical/Maintenance Fitters

• Learn about the essentials in manufacturing such as GMP and Health and Safety regulations

What we need from you

• Leaving Certificate is must

• A good attitude to work

• Able to work in a team environment

• Mechanical aptitude with an interest in maintenance mechanics

• Strong written and verbal skills
