My client, in the manufacturing industry located in Co. Offaly is looking for an Accounting Technician / Assistant Accountant to join their team.

You will report into the Financial Controller

This is a permanent job.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Payroll/wages

• Bank & balance sheet reconciliations

• VAT, Vies, Intrastat reports to ROS

• Assist in budgeting & forecasting

• Preparation of month-end statements

• Assist with audit processes

What are we looking for?

• 3rd Level Degree in Finance / IATI exams

• PQ Accountant / Assistant Accountant

• At least 2-3 years accounts experience in a similar role

• Experience using accounting systems i.e. SAP preferable

• Proficient with MS Office applications i.e. Excel – essential

• Reconciliation and reporting experience

• Ability to meet targets and deadlines

• Work well within a team environment

• Strong numerical & analytical skills
