What you need to know
We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Order Specialist for our client, based in Dublin Southwest.

This role will report to the Senior Supply Chain Manager. The purpose of the role is to support a project. As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for various duties to support the project, with a large focus on tasks relating to the ERP-based sales and purchase order process.
This role will suit you if you have order entry experience from a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device or similar industry.

This is a 6-month contract position with some potential for extension. The position offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with daily supply chain operations.

  • Manage the ERP-based purchase and sales order processes for both internal and external customers on the ERP system.

  • Process will include receiving orders, placing purchase orders, and all the way through to confirming and tracking shipments to delivery and payments.

  • Participate in ensuring that all deliveries are tracked and receipted within the deadline for sales revenue recognition and that all deliveries of concern are identified as early as possible to the Supply Chain and Financial management teams.

  • Support the accurate and timely invoicing and collaborate with the accounts receivable team on any open issues.

  • Track shipping activities for adherence to agreed lead times and schedules, and work with appropriate internal and external parties to expedite activities as needed.

  • Log and maintain accurate data and information on the ERP system at all times.

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports relating to the performance of customers and suppliers.

  • Monitor and advance Key Performance Indicators for a portfolio of suppliers and customers.

  • Assist with periodic supply chain reports.

  • Comply with internal SOPs, appropriate legislation, and company policies.

  • Ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.


What we are looking for:

  • Experience working with ERP systems and processing inventory and sales order transactions is an essential requirement for this position.

  • Experience liaising with customers and suppliers.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industry is advantageous.

  • Experience in SAP and Oracle-PeopleSoft is preferable.

  • Strong organizational skills and administrative skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and managing various priorities.

  • Numeric skills and excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
