A renowned organisation that provides innovative climate solutions to the country and is helping the country to reach its goal of net-zero carbon emissions is currently seeking a driven and committed Senior Civil Engineer to join its renewable energy division.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager of your business unit and support them in the professional and efficient delivery of civil/structural engineering projects. Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities include:- Support the Engineering Manager in the delivery of the projects and civil/structural engineering services.
- Ensure that projects are appropriately planned, designed, delivered on time, within budget.
- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders at the various stages of project development.
- Lead the provision of engineering input into site selection and planning permission applications for projects including site access and transportation, site drainage, geotechnical suitability, site infrastructure design, and component delivery route assessments.
- Support the development of projects through procurement, financing, construction, and commissioning phases to full operation.
- Develop and manage engineering project budgets and schedules.
- Lead the supervision and management of contractors and other engineering service providers. Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with contract documents.
- Implement site processes and controls for proper coordination, monitoring, and recording of all work and report on project progress, key issues, and risks at required intervals.
- Monitor the project programme to ensure delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Construction Regulations and Construction Quality Assurance.

What are we looking for?

- Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree or another relevant third-level qualification. 
- Experience in civil engineering design, contract documentation, renewable energy, and project management capabilities.
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to give concise instructions.
- Strong management skills and comfortable coordinating numerous specialist contractors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through challenges methodically.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and GIS.
