Job description

You will work as a Master Scheduler/ Planner for our client, an innovative, growing, and  highly successful medical manufacturing company in Co. Westmeath.

As the Master Scheduler/Planner, you will work as part of a large team and be responsible for production planning/scheduling for manufacturing onsite. You will ensure that  all productions plans are scheduled within the required capacity hours and inventory demand is there to ensure an effective customer service

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Responisble for producing long-term demand plans for all manufactured products into required hours to meet inventory demand and optimizing site capacity resulting in effective customer service.

  • Work with planning systems team to drive development of appropriate outputs, enabling a balanced supply response to demand profile, target/safety stocks to deliver an effective build plan, which optimizes inventory and customer requirements.

  • Highlight capacity gaps impacting customer fulfilment, emphasizes unresolvable demand variation impacting site capacity and proactively develop appropriate plans to meet business needs.

  • Partner with scheduling team to identify short-term issues that will impact on plan execution, attainment, inventory levels and material risks.

  • Develop and publish a set of KPIs to communicate changes to plans that support a communication process to keep stakeholders, including Management, appraised regarding performance and adherence to plan as well as risks.

What are we looking for?

  • 3rd Level Degree in Business/Supply Chain or related discipline.

  • At least 5+ years manufacturing experience in production/demand planning and inventory management ideally within a fast-paced regulated manufacturing environment

  • Strong ERP MRP  or DRP system experience ideally SAP, Orcale or ASCP

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications especially excel and access.

  • You must have strong communication and negotiating skills along with excellent organisation/time management skills.

  • Must have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment while demonstrating initiative to lead in other projects.
