Our client, a leading medical device company with global operations are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their organisation in Co. Leitrim.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team of engineers, technicians, and administrators. This position reports into the Manufacturing Director.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Forge strong connections with clients in project management and technical development realms, overseeing tasks like project quoting, enhancing product designs, ensuring quality standards, and managing costs effectively in collaboration with customers.

  • Guarantee that all manufacturing assemblies meet set criteria encompassing financial, technical, and quality benchmarks, among others.

  • Scrutinize test data using statistical methods, delving into result interpretation, and furnishing comprehensive technical reports as necessitated.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the manufacturing engineers.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards during process improvements, maintenance tasks, and revalidation activities.

  • Offer technical assistance for product and process enhancements.

  • Aid in addressing product failures and quality system investigations.

  • Assist the production department with process challenges, CAPAs, change management, and customer complaints as needed.

  • Manage procurement of new equipment and tooling for existing products.

  • Interface with NPI department for seamless project transitions into production.

  • Deliver accurate reporting on scrap reduction and other sustaining projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree at Level 8 in Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a similar field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Medical Devices.

  • Proficient in Project Management with a track record of successful projects.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing people.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and expertise, adept at building strong client relationships.

  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment, ensuring the team remains aligned with business objectives.
