Our client, an established manufacturing company based in Co. Monaghan are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their organisation.

This is a permanent position, working week Monday – Friday.

The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance team and collaborates with other departments to optimize production.

 

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the plant site are kept in top condition to meet factory targets.

  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations as required by law.

  • Manage and provide leadership to maintenance fitters and electricians.

  • Provide guidance and assistance to craftsmen in maintaining work quality.

  • Lead, inspire, and promote a Lean approach within the team.

  • Coordinate maintenance staff scheduling, overtime, attendance, and overall performance evaluations.

  • Manage spare parts inventory, seeking cost-effective solutions,

  • Oversee contractors and external maintenance service providers.

  • Communicate with production managers and operators to address issues.

  • Propose and execute initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing costs.

What are we looking for?

  • Possession of a third level qualification in Engineering or relevant.

  • Experience in a maintenance position within a manufacturing setting.

  • The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive technical expertise spanning various aspects of maintenance within a manufacturing setting, including mechanical, industrial electrical, and automation systems.

  • Additionally, they should be proficient in work scheduling, people management, spare parts sourcing, and budgeting/cost management.

  • Strong attention to detail with the capacity to work independently and communicate effectively.
