What you need to know
Our client, a leading manufacturing company that has expanded rapidly over the years are looking to recruit a HR manager to join their team based in Co. Longford. This is a great opportunity to step into a key leadership role, shaping the HR function in a growing company.
The HR manager will manage the HR responsibilities across two of their Irish sites and will report to the Group Head of HR. The successful individual will be critical in achieving targeted growth strategies across the business.
This is a permanent position, and it is fully on-site.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement Group HR strategies at the site level in coordination with Group HR.
Provide HR support for site and function-specific matters.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee induction processes, including support for accommodation and social security.
Advise managers on HR-related issues and ensure smooth management of employee probationary periods.
Lead talent management and employee engagement programs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Partner with site managers on workforce planning and deliver on the training agenda in collaboration with senior managers.
Manage absence records and support the operation of Employee Forums.
Drive succession planning and development programs, and foster relationships with universities to enhance graduate recruitment.
Coach and mentor site managers, contributing to leadership development and team performance.
Contribute to the senior management team, delivering HR solutions that support organizational goals
What are we looking for?
Degree in HR or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. CIPD membership is a plus.
Strong knowledge of employment law, along with excellent communication and administrative skills.
Collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, capable of efficiently managing the HR function across two locations.
Able to support the HR officer in Fermoy, with occasional travel to the Fermoy site as required.
Experience in a fast-paced working environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
