​Our client, a highly successful Irish-owned company based in Co. Westmeath.  

Our client is operating since 2013 with a workforce of over two hundred staff. They have won significant awards for their business sector with significant growth plans over the next few years. 
They are keen to hire a Financial Controller to join the finance team. This is a new role reporting into the CFO. TheFinancial Controller youwill lead and manage operational performance of the finance function. You will be part of the management team participating in thestrategic and commercial development of the company. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who has a desire to advance their career.

This is a permanent job with hybrid work available.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly financial reporting information, in line with structured deadlines.

  • Presentation of monthly management reports to CFO. Provide clear and informative financial and operational commentary including the identification & resolution of critical issues impacting profitability

  • Prepare and present annual budget and quarterly forecasts in line with structured deadlines.

  • Preparation of department p&l’s with supporting variance analysis against budget.

  • Responsible for the consolidation of accounts.

  • Responsible for working capital and cashflow management. 

  • Responsible for achieved working targets within financial control, working capital, compliance, and reporting. 

  • Assure appropriate tax compliance. Work closely with all external parties on audit, insurance, revenue, and banking etc.

  • Ensure effective and robust financial controls and adopt a continuous improvement approach to finance process efficiency.

  • Manage and lead the accounts team.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA with 5 years + post-qualification experience.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced service or manufacturing sector. Distinct advantage working in IT Industry sector.

  • Strong commercial and people management experience.

  • Track record of process improvement & cost saving initiatives.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Proven track record of achievement.
