My client a Large Food Manufacturing Group have an exciting job opportunity for a Financial  Accountant. This job will work at one of their key manufacturing sites  based in Co. Meath

As the Financial   Accountant you will report into Group Financial Controller  and work with a  finance team  in the preparation of weekly/monthly accounts, stock control and sales  analysis, and project work.  This a great opportunity for someone newly or nearly qualified looking to progress their accounting career in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management  accounts

• Preparation of weekly KPI’s.

• Stock Control analysis  and overhead reviews.

• Preparation of month end reports for senior management.

• Assist with the  timely completion of Year-end audits and liaising with external auditors

• Prepare cost and efficiency KPI reports to assist management in key decision making

• Variance analysis against budgets, standards, and projections

• Support cost reduction programmes.

• Ad Hoc Project work .

Education and Experience

• Newly  or Nearly Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA and CIMA) with a minimum of 2 -3 years’ accounting experience.

• Strong Excel and  experience with accounting IT system.

• Experience within a manufacturing environment or accounting practice is desirable.

• Excellent communication and organisation skills

• Strong technical accounting skills

• The ability to deliver in an efficient manner to tight deadlines

• Must be able to work on own initiative.
