​My client a Large Food Manufacturing Group have a wonderful job opportunity for a FinancialAccountant. This job is based at their headquarters in Co. Offaly.

This job will allow you to be a self- starter, use your own initiative and be commercial focussed. What an excellent job opportunity for 2023?

As the Financial Accountant you will report into Division Manager and be part of a large group finance team in the preparation of weekly/monthly division accounts for 5 sites, along with budgeting, and working on continuous improvement projects.

This is a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunity to develop your career within this large group.

Job Duties.

• Preparation of weekly and monthly accounts for five divisions

• Preparation and presentation of month end reports to senior management

• Assist with the timely completion of Year-end audits

• Prepare cost and efficiency reports to assist management in key decision making

• Financial Administration

• Preparation of financial information for capex projects

• Preparation of annual budget

• Statutory Reporting

• Support cost reduction programmes

• Ad Hoc Project work

Education and Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, and CIMA) with a minimum of 2 -3 years’ accounting experience ideally within industry or accounting practice.

• Strong Excel and experience using SAP is ideal.

• Excellent communication and organisation skills.

• Strong technical accounting skills.

• The ability to deliver in an efficient manner to tight deadlines.

• Ability to work on own initiative and think outside the box.
