What you need to know

Our client who are a provider of sterilisation services to many of the world’s largest medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.

In this role you will be reporting to the Technical Service Manager, and you will be responsible for leading/co-ordinating the Maintenance team in day-to-day Maintenance activities on-site.

This is role is a Permanent Opportunity with the role being on a Day shift and on a Monday to Friday basis. The core hours for the role are 8:30-5:30. There is also flexibility on these hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet up with Management and Technicians daily to discuss the earmarked workload outlining what are the prioritised tasks to be completed and discuss any Maintenance issues from the previous day.

  • Leading the Maintenance team focussing on equipment reliability

  • Responsible for the installation and upkeep of laboratory test equipment and associated services

  • Hands on approach to de-bugging and fault-finding activities of mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems

  • Liaise with other teams/departments on the site such as laboratory teams and equipment suppliers to work out what new test equipment is needed.

  • Develop equipment maintenance, calibration, and operating instructions.

  • Involvement and proactiveness in equipment improvement and modernisation projects

 

What are we looking for?

Education

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline or relevant discipline to the Medical Device/Pharma sector.

Background

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor co-ordinating/leading a team of Maintenance/Calibration Technicians in a Med device/Pharma background.

  • Strong awareness of ISO regulations and experience of meeting tight deadlines orientated around ISO regulations.

  • Strong in documenting downtime issues, routine preventative maintenance, installations, and modernisation projects

Competencies/Skills/Attributes

  • Effective Communicator. Possess the ability to successfully communicate with different teams.

  • Can get hands on/stuck into any Maintenance issues/duties and any improvement projects.

  • Strong in leading a team and be diligent in ensuring that duties associated with the Maintenance team is carried out.

  • Goal orientated and target minded individual.
