Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Customs Broker for our client based in the Kildare area.
This is a Permanent Role.
Working hours: Monday to Friday with a late start and late finish on a Friday.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the import and export of goods on behalf of our customers.

• Meeting customers’ requirements around Brexit.

• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Supporting a network of advisors by maintaining, providing and receiving advice on a variety of customs issues.

• Provide support for customs (tariff classifications, valuation, origin) and export controls.

• Completing necessary paperwork.

• Maintaining and developing existing client relationships.

What are we looking for?

• 2 years minimum experience in Customs Declarations import and export.

• Substantial experience in a Customs Clearance operation at supervisory level within logistics/ food industry in Ireland.

• Cross border experience across a range of industries.

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team.

• Experience dealing with DAFM.

• Working knowledge of health certificates.

• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with attention to detail.

• Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
