What you need to know

My client, leaders in their areas of expertise in bespoke technical products, are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager for their facility in Co. Cavan.

The Commercial Manager will be part of the Senior Management team, where they will be responsible the commercial strategy of the company. You will identify and develop better business opportunities for improved growth, maintaining client relationships, analysing current strategies, and developing improved action plans. The Commercial Manager will oversee the promotion of the brand internally and externally.

Key Duties

  • Build an accurate sales budget in line with capacity and market intelligence.

  • Analyse markets, competitors, and customers to increase the company market share.

  • Working with R&D to build partnerships with customers and companies to develop innovative solutions.

  • Identify value add solutions for customers.

  • Develop business and new products for new and existing customers and markets.

  • Build the brand through social media and strategic activities including trade shows and exhibitions.

  • Internal and community marketing.

  • Manage customer services.

  • Manage tendering & quotation processes.

  • Oversee pricing strategies and pricing management.

  • Responsible for overseeing the Customer Service Team.

  • Management of the national and international sales team

  • Commercial negotiations and maintain strong customer relations.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree or master’s level in Sales, Marketing, Commercial or Engineering areas.

  • 6 years plus of experience working in a in seniors’ Sales role with a manufacturing plant ideally within the electrical and commercial sector dealing with large clients.

  • Demonstrate a track record of commercial monitoring performance and setting goals for performance improvement.

  • People management experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Experience in managing CRM tools

  • Excellent PC skills.
