What you need to know
Our client, a leading company based in Co. Westmeath, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team.
This role will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function and will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
This is a 4-month Contract, working Monday to Friday.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy.
Match purchase orders and invoices for approval and payment.
Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment.
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies or queries.
Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely resolution of invoice or payment issues.
Maintain organised and up-to-date files for all accounts payable documentation.
Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
What are we looking for?
2+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
