What you need to know
We are currently seeking a Settlements Team Leader for our global financial services client, based in Limerick (hybrid working model).
This is a contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Responsible for the delegation of all tasks on a daily basis.
Supervision of a team within the Settlements unit including setting objectives, conducting regular 1 to 1 meetings, conducting yearly and half yearly appraisals adhering to set deadlines
Ensure Team meet all deadlines and that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure all tasks are contained within daily checklists and are signed off daily, thus ensuring all tasks have been completed
Responsible for ensuring that Settlements Team Mailbox is kept up to date at all times and that all e-mails are responded to and filed in a timely manner
Scheduling and chairing regular team meetings ensuring all partners complete actions assigned within agreed deadlines.
To prepare/quality check the various Settlements Reports, Liquidation checklist
Monitor and assist on the queries and liaise with other departments where necessary
To work with the Manager and Group projects area on any allocated Client/system projects
Fulfil additional, relevant, tasks appropriate to the role and business requirements
Ensure bi-monthly meeting are held and minutes taken and filed
Ensures all Dashboards and Incident reporting is completed within the required deadlines to a high standard and that preventative measures are identified/implemented understood by teams and procedures updated accordingly
Constant analysis of errors and near misses with a view to eliminating trends
Ensure a pass rating achieved in all Audits
What are we looking for?
Demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of Settlements or similar
Team lead experience preferred
Ability to review and resolve complex issues working under pressure meeting challenging deadlines
Customer Service experience would be preferred
Excellent planning and organisation skills with a flexible approach to work
Ability to work on own initiative
Effective verbal reasoning and numeric skills (Essential)
Good keyboard skills to include MS Excel and ability to learn systems used within the business
