Matrix Recruitment is working with our client based in Athlone Co. Westmeath to recruit a Management Accountant for a 3-6 month contract initially.

As Management Accountant your purpose is to work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure effective delivery of accurate management financial information. This job will offer exposure in financial and management accounting. 

3-6 Month Contract Job Initially 2 days remote working available.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly Inventory and balance sheet reconciliations and month close activities associated with material movements.

• Consolidation of all inventories across the group and SOX compliance in relation to consolidated inventory.

• Work collaboratively with the finance, supply chain and sales operations functions to ensure all aspects within inventory are captured completely and accurately.

• Assist and support the supply chain team with the physical inventory count reconciliations and inventory count adjustments.

• Tracking changes in supplies, raw materials, API and finished product to determine accurate standard costing of inventories.

• Perform in-depth analysis to support balance sheet figures and valuation for inventory and reserves.

• Ensures accuracy and compliance finance controls – SOX, accounting and internal control policies and procedures. 

• Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget and quarterly Forecast submissions.

• Manage Revenue (Tax) compliance in relation to Customs & Duty reporting. 

• Review payroll files for accuracy and assist HR in payroll changes.

• Engage with External/ Internal Audit, Revenue Ireland, etc.

What are we looking for?

• Recognised accountancy qualifications (ACA, ACCA, and CIMA) 

• A minimum of 2-3years in manufacturing finance.

• Financial and Management Accounting background.

• Experience in analysing financial data. 

• Excellent analytical skills and numerical ability

• Superb communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels

• Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment. 

• Highly Motivated with high level of proficiency in MS suite particularly in excel and previous experience in ERP systems.

• Confident self-starter who is assertive and focused.
