Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Communications and Learning Specialist for our client based in Carlow.

Our client is a fast-paced and rapidly growing multinational automotive division. Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Training & Development Co Ordinator to join their expanding team Co Carlow.

This is a Permanent full time contract.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate will be arranging and book training sessions for the staff through the trainers, This individual will not be conducting any training themselves, they will solely be responsible for coordinating the sessions and looking after the administration.
Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Lead the learning function at the plant, ensuring that learning courses are properly sourced, planned, effective, consistent, and recorded to meet legislative, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of the new Workday learning management system.
  • Develop and manage the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the company on an annual basis.
  • Gather and analyse data, including learning metrics and KPIs.
  • Update supporting documentation, such as the learning matrix, qualification matrix, and competency matrix.
  • Coordinate all learning activities to comply with audit and plant requirements.
  • Manage the Learning Management System to optimise the recording, assigning, and tracking of learning, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Coordinate learning requirements for on-the-job training, change management implementation, and new equipment, in collaboration with operations and the management team.
  • Ensure standardised methods for delivery, recording, and reporting of learning across the site, for both online and in-person learning.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the learning processes and systems to ensure an outstanding approach to learning.
  • Track claims for site learning grants and assist with future learning grant applications.
  • Support the site continuous improvement program by leading and facilitating events and promoting employee engagement with continuous improvement (CI).
  • Coordinate trainers' work schedules with Shift Managers to achieve operational learning goals and flexibility targets.
  • Support apprenticeship learning activities.
  • Participate in internal and company audits, including Customer, TISAX, Labour & Employment Audit, ISO9001, IATF16949, MAFACT, EH&S, ISO45001, ISO14001, HR, and Compliance.
  • Manage learning data in accordance with GDPR policies and processes.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.

What are we looking for?
 
  • A HR and/or QQI Training Qualification is desirable. Train the Trainer (QQI Level 6) is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in HR, administration, or learning.
  • Understanding of training needs, learning planning, learning matrices, and training policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new software.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to mandatory learning requirements is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organisational, planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities, especially under pressure.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attendance, timekeeping, tidiness, safety awareness, quality awareness, and responsibility.
  • Ability to set a positive example and solve problems to their root cause.
  • Flexibility with working hours will be required during busy periods to meet corporate requirements.
  • Overseas travel may be required at times.
  • Completion of Induction (divisional and corporate learning) is required.
