You will work as an Accounts Assistant for our client, a well-established and growing company based in Kilkenny.

In the position, you will work closely with a team of accountants.

This is a permanent job with an attractive salary and bonus.

Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of accountants to support the accounts process across two company accounts and ensure the smooth running of the finance department.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly management accounts and year-end financial accounts.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, income reports, and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Process invoices onto the system.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts.

  • Support in the management of the debtor’s ledger. Support the creditor accounts.

  • Manage sales and purchase records.

  • Support the finance department on ongoing projects.

  • Coordinate and liaise with external partners and internal clients as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Accountancy qualification or working towards.

  • 1 or more years in accounting or financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
