We are currently seeking Yard Supervisor for our client based in Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Your new job

Key duties & responsibilities:

- Supervision of processing and year operatives.

- Schedule work rotas for operatives, ensuring logistics, operational and annual leave needs are met.

- Management of traffic.

- Ensuring the yard is always clean and tidy.

- Ensuring that yard operatives are managed in a manner which reduces processing costs.

- Ensuring that all team members receive health and safety training, and that health and safety requirements are always met.

- Planning preventative and scheduled maintenance for plant and equipment. Ensuring daily check lists are completed and manager.

- Coordinating the maintenance fitter to maintain the plant and shredder to minimise downtime.

- Co-operate fully with all provision taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public.

- Act professionally and courteously with all colleagues and members of the public.

What are we looking for?

- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

- Relevant licences and tickets – Forklift, Digger, and other Heavy Machinery.

- Manual Handling experience.

- Must be flexible.

- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
