Our client a long-established manufacturing company in the South-East are seeking a Supply Chain Manager.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the Supply Chain performance and you will be an integral part of the site management team.
This is a 6 month contract (with potential for permanency) along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Your New Job
Key duties & responsibilities:
Train, manage and develop the department team.
Develop and roll out best-in-class supply chain management processes
Review department performance weekly
Manage key activities to include Demand/Supply Forecasting Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Distribution and Inventory Control
Manage the production scheduling process to maximise production efficiency, volumes and maintain customer service levels
Manage costs and meet KPI targets
Participant in various projects through the plant
Participate fully in Global Supply Chain Initiatives
Ensure all activities comply with policies, standards, Health and Safety etc.
What are we looking for?
8-10 years Supply Chain experience
Qualified to Degree level
You will ideally be coming from a manufacturing background
Strong knowledge of SAP and cost management
Problem solver and customer focussed
