Our client who are based in County Longford are looking for a Structural Design Engineer. Our client is a well-established and respected company in Longford and has excelled from a small scale to being one of the leading providers in the Construction and Engineering sector.

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will tie in with the Senior Design Engineer in the structural design department working on diverse projects primarily within the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Commercial and Food and Beverage sectors.

This is a Permanent position where the working hours are a Monday to Friday basis. Hybrid working will be an option after a 6-month period. Including in the package is guaranteed progression where you will be appointed to a Senior Structural Engineer through a training/mentorship program.

Your New Job

Duties and responsibilities:

• Carry out structural analysis and design of building structures

• Utilise structural engineering design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Master series and Idea Static

• Work closely with in-house detailers to achieve project design deliverable and fabrication in line with our client requirement

• Co-ordinate design with project engineers and Architects

• Communicate effectively with clients through design team co-ordination meetings

• Support the construction team with site queries

What are we looking for?

• A Level 8 degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering is a must

• 2-3 years post graduate experience in structural design

• A team player and proactive in their approach to complete team projects

• The ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
