Senior Management Accountant

Here’s an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation in a critical role, based in Wexford. 

Your New Job:
As Senior Management Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Financial Director and play a key part in the finance team. You’ll lead the finance department, take charge of financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, and provide insightful analysis to drive profitable decisions. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and reporting packs to tight deadlines
• Produce regular value-adding management reports and disclosure packs for group reporting
• Take ownership of all balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
• Analyse, explain, and challenge variances to budget and forecast
• Drive process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Prepare statutory financial statements with Group Finance
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Oversee and guide the finance team, fostering development and performance
• Implement costing systems and develop robust pricing models
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, external audits, and statutory regulations

What Are We Looking For?:

• Qualified Accountant with previous experience in a similar role and strong commercial awareness
• Previous experience working in industry
• Advanced Excel skills, and other accounting systems / ERP experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills and relationship builder
• Hands-on and detail-focused approach
