What you need to know

A leading European Plastics company with a manufacturing operation in Co. Westmeath is currently recruiting for an exciting job opportunity in the quality department. They are looking to hire a Quality Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Quality and R&D  and manage a small team of Quality professionals.

As the Quality Manager, you will have responsibility for managing Quality function across the business, ensuring that products and services meet clients’ specifications.

This is a permanent role with an excellent salary and package.

Your New Job

Duties & responsibilities

  • Driving continuous improvement from a quality and cost perspective.

  • Internal communication regarding quality performance on a regular basis.

  • Ensure personnel adhere to quality checks and procedures

  • Exchange with customers regarding customer requirements / problem solving.

  • Effective communication of customer requirements to all departments

  • Achievement of company quality metrics

  • Ongoing compliance of Quality Management System to ISO 9001 standard and oversee the internal audit programmes.

  • Preparation of Management reports on quality metrics

  • Assistance with training of operational personnel in relation to Quality topics

What are we looking for?

  • A Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering, Science or another relevant scientific discipline.

  • 5 plus years of experience in a Senior Quality role in manufacturing business preferably plastics .

  • Previous experience in managing a team of Quality professionals in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO Quality System requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others in a positive manner.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong track record in leading internal and external audits.
